ABOUT THIS WATCH:
This particular IWC model fits a nich that most other IWC models cannot. It starts with the size. IWC pilot watch cases are for the most part quite large. This model's 36.5mm case was an exception and given the trend of watch sizes starting to come back down to earth, I wonder if they may just be inclined to re-introduce such a watch in their current line up. Second, the movement. It is no ordinary movement by any stretch. The Jaeger LeCoultre supplied Cal. 631 is a true gem whereby a battery supplies power to a fully mechanical chronograph movement. Toss in it's 25 Jewels and 233 components and you have one complex beautiful little machine.
